Hearth spirits are sociable spirits that form wherever mortals gather on a regular basis, be it family home, tavern or even the hall of the Great Mother of the salsham'ai. A hearth spirit rarely shows itself, but if it is looked after it will help out with small household chores and provide blessings on its benefactors. If ignored or abused, it wreaks small mischief about the place. Hearth spirits are usually solitary, with one per building, but larger buildings such as the Imperial palace of Reflected Glory are rumoured to have hundreds of hearth spirits.

Combat
Like many spirits, hearth spirits disdain open combat and will only resort to melee if magically compelled, in which case they attack with a tiny broom or other household implement. For their small size they are remarkably robust. Normally a hearth spirit will remain out of sight and send in animated objects to drive off attackers.
Blessings of the Hearth (Sp): 1/day a hearth spirit can cast a bless spell, at caster level 12th, upon anyone who normally inhabits its home.
Imprinting (Ex): A hearth spirit appears to be the same race as whoever observes it. Hearth spirits will also adopt some of their personality from their surroundings. The hearth spirit of a farm will tend to be rustic and earthy whereas the hearth spirits of Reflected Glory appear as haughty Imperial Magisters and have a complex system of social rules.
Natural Crafter (Ex): Hearth spirits are skilled crafters and may turn their hand at anything. If a hearth spirit has ranks in a Craft skill, it can use that ability for any other Craft skill.
Spell-Like Abilities (Sp): At will – Prestidigitation. 1/day – Animate object. All at caster level 6th.
